Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text uses 1.15 line spacing; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

A. Introduction
Jurnal Pertanahan is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal published by the Sekolah Tinggi Pertanahan Nasional, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Jurnal Pertanahan prioritizes research and ideas on agrarian, land, and spatial planning issues.

B. How to Write the Title, the Name, and the Authors’ Address
The title of the manuscript must be placed at the top of the first page, centered. The author's name, affiliation, and address must be mentioned in the manuscript, while email is only included for the corresponding author. All communications regarding article revisions and final acceptance will be sent via email to the corresponding author, as stated in the metadata. Authors are encouraged to collaborate with researchers from various institutions and countries.

C. The Manuscript General Guidelines

  1. Manuscripts must be original research that has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  2. Manuscripts must not contain plagiarism. All submissions are checked using iThenticate or similar plagiarism detection software, with a maximum similarity threshold of 20%. Texts exceeding this threshold will be immediately rejected.
  3. Guidelines and article templates can be downloaded from the Jurnal Pertanahan homepage in MS Word format (.doc/.docx).
  4. Online submission must follow the steps provided in the online submission guidelines.
  5. Manuscripts must contain: (1) Title; (2) Abstract and Keywords; (3) Introduction; (4) Methods; (5) Results and Discussion; (6) Conclusion. Submissions without these components will be rejected.
  6. Subtitles must be written in bold, title case, left-aligned, and without underlining.
  7. Manuscripts can be written in Indonesian or English, between 6,000–7,000 words (including abstract, references, and footnotes), in Calibri font 12, with 1.2 spacing. Paper size is A4 (210 mm x 297 mm) with margins: left 2.54 cm, right 2.54 cm, bottom 1.7 cm, top 3 cm.
  8. Foreign words should be italicized. Paragraphs begin with a 1 cm indentation, with no spacing between paragraphs.
  9. Tables, figures, and illustrations must be clear, numbered, and centered within the text. Tables should not contain vertical lines, while horizontal lines are limited to important points.

D. The Guidelines for the Manuscript Body Text

  1. Title: Must be informative, concise, and clear (maximum 16 words), written in 14 pt bold, centered, in both Indonesian and English.
  2. Abstract: Written in both Indonesian and English, 150–200 words, Calibri 11 pt, single-spaced. Must include: problem and objectives, methods, findings, and conclusion. Equipped with 3–5 keywords.
  3. Introduction: Should provide background, problem context, state of the art, research gap, and objectives. References must be properly cited to emphasize novelty.
  4. Methods: Should clearly describe how data was obtained, processed, and analyzed, without lengthy theoretical digressions.
  5. Results and Discussion: Must be presented continuously, linked to research questions, with both data interpretation and theoretical discussion. Tables and figures must be in high resolution.
  6. Conclusion: Should summarize findings, contributions, limitations, and suggestions for further research without repeating abstract or results.
  7. Acknowledgment: Authors may thank individuals or institutions (e.g., respondents, funding bodies).
  8. Bibliography: Must include at least 30 references (preferably recent, within 5–10 years, and from reputable journals). Must follow APA 7th edition style using Mendeley or similar reference manager.

E. The Guidelines for Literature Reviews, Citations, and References
Authors are encouraged to cite relevant articles previously published in Jurnal Pertanahan. References must be managed using Mendeley or equivalent software and formatted according to the APA 7th edition.

F. The Online Submission Manuscript Guidelines
